Manchu WOK Story

What began as a single food court restaurant in Peterborough, Ontario in 1980 has grown into 45 years of Canada’s favourite Chinese food. Founded by Dr. Jack Lew, Manchu WOK was created to share the bold, irresistible flavours of Chinese cuisine with new audiences. It didn’t take long for Canadians to fall in love. From shopping malls to airports, amusement parks, casinos, and bustling city streets, Manchu WOK became a household name and a food court favourite. Today, we’re proud to serve guests in over 80 locations across three countries, and we’re still growing. Through every expansion and every dish served, our mission remains the same: to bring people together over fresh, flavourful, and satisfying Chinese food made with care.
